COMPETITIVE TEAM
"The Company" at The Dance Movement is designed for those dance students who are more serious about exploring the art of dance. Unlike The Club, dancers must audition for The Company. A Company dancer is required to train more and, therefore, a larger commitment is necessary on behalf of not only the student but also the parents. The Company dancer is responsible for more complex and demanding choreography and is given more opportunity to perform.
Dance competitions will mainly take place in Southern Ontario, with the potential of an optional, national competition. Competition season lasts March to May. Dancers can be expected to compete in 4-5 competitions per dance season.
At The Dance Movement, teamwork is an essential part of the competitive dance program. We believe that a supportive and dedicated team is the heart and soul of any dance studio. As The Company dancers train together, their responsibility to themselves, as well as their own team, grows. Dancers learn to work together and excel as a whole. We never forget that each dancer is an essential part of the The Company.
We believe that a focused schedule, and advanced, state of the art teaching methods will help produce exceptional dancers committed to the art of dance.
